How Private is Private Mode?

Features in the four major browsers designed to cloak users’ browser history often don’t work as billed, according to a research paper that warns that users may get a false sense of security when using the built-in privacy settings.

Apparently the Private Browsing Mode aka “pr0n m0d3″ in many browsers is insecure and is also detectable by some sneaky usage of javascript.

My question to you HackTalkers is how you would feel about sites purposely creating content for people who visit their site under private mode. Maybe a site that looks nice and innocent but turns out to be a clandestine porn site when visited under private mode. Leave your comments below.
